THE NAME IS MARCXIOUS.

...and so we kick, push...and coast...

theBAY.

When you're caught up in the daily grind I think you deserve a little rest and relaxation. Away from the stressful environment that is eating your very existence. So a little trip here and there would certainly please the soul, body, and mind.

It's easy to get lost in the "hectic" world of San Francisco city but stop by any of the streets and you can see a rich culture shining through the cluttered buildings. I think outsiders are quick to judge but I'm sure the locals love the city the way it is. Haight st was similar to our Melrose, Chinatown had the aroma of savory delicacies, Pier 39 made you want to eat seafood all day, the many parks were green and peaceful, and the people were surely more equipped for the weather. I can definitely see myself living there, or at least go on a few more trips. There are many more things the bay wants us to discover and see.

ANATOMY.

A few days ago I stumbled upon this old book from my days at Cal State Long Beach. Usually these old forgotten books would send me on some unforgiving flashback. But this was my Anatomy Coloring Book. Yes, you read that right. I know some of you already have encountered something like it, especially all of you future nurses and doctors. I perused through the first couple of pages and was surprised to see how untouched it has been. (Okay, I wasn't really surprised, I only opened it a few times during class because it was an optional assignment.) I was interested in doing a few more pages and maybe eventually finish it. My Crayola colored pencils were still in pristine condition so there I was, pencil in hand and a mission in mind. It's been a great companion during lunch breaks at work. My coworkers were confused, "So you're still in school?" Honestly, does someone have to be currently enrolled in a class just to feed his intellectual curiosity? And this is a coloring book, I rather be doing this then wasting my brain cells away watching the nonsense on TV or gossiping during lunch breaks. I've tried to read a bevy of interesting books but I ended up putting it on the "finish later" pile. At least this will keep my attention on high and I'm re-learning all the cells, body parts, bones, organs, etc. I may not end up as a nurse or a doctor, but at least I will be able to tell you all the chambers of the heart (there are four).
